Yep, the app is free and always be. The Flow Key is what adds the extra layer of friction between you and your device when paired with the app.

You're free to access the app and utilise it's features without a Flow Key, but you will require the Key to start and end sessions manually. Adding that extra layer of friction is where the magic happens.

Yes. You choose exactly which apps and categories get blocked or are allowed when creating a mode. Social media, games, streaming, whatever you know pulls you away.

Yes. You can set up schedules inside the app so blocking kicks in at your chosen intervals.

Yes. Hold down the main session button for 3 seconds for a keyless start. You'll still need your Key or to use an emergency override to end your session though.

That's what emergency overrides are for. You get 5 of them and they can be found in settings for when you genuinely need your apps unblocked and don't have a Flow Key nearby.

A feature called 'Hard Lock' has been added to stop you from doing just this. It's an optional feature to activate, but if you have Hard Lock turned on in settings, you will be unable to delete your Flow app while in an active session.

Apple's Screen Time gives you a limit and then gives you a button to ignore it; and we all know what the outcome of that usually is.

Flow doesn't work like that. There's no ignore button, no bypassing it and no negotiating with yourself. We built it that way on purpose, because sometimes willpower just isn't enough.

We don't have any visibility into which apps or websites you choose to block or anything to do with your personal screen time habits - that all stays on your device locally. What we do store is your focus time, Flow app session history and stats so the app can track your progress over time.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings.

No. It has no battery so no charging is required. As long as there's an NFC signal, your key will work as it should.

Yes. Multiple keys can be used on one phone. Keep one at home, one at the office, or wherever it makes sense for you.

Yes. You can pair the one key over as many phones as you'd like, and works across different accounts too! Great if you're sharing with someone or just switching devices.
